Age Group: 16+
Other Requirements: Mat
Yoga practices at Studio 149 are faith-based and designed to integrate mind, body, and spirit into a whole being. Students will not only work to improve balance, flexibility, and strength but also learn to incorporate mental focus and spiritual practice in an exercise regime.

Age Group: 3 - 6 years
Other Requirements: Students MUST be fully potty trained to register
Combo classes are designed for young dancers who may or may not have prior dance experience. Each class will spend 30 minutes on ballet basics, and 30 minutes on tap basics. Dancers will learn and practice dance terminology, good posture, social skills, rhythm and counting, and more!

Pilates is a low-impact class that focuses on stretching, strengthening, and coordinating the body. The Pilates practices that are used in this course are designed to improve flexibility, balance, posture, and, above all else, eliminate unnecessary strain that can be harmful to your general well-being. Each class will mainly focus on your core muscles and have exercises related to your extremities peppered in for a well-rounded experience.

BTJ classes cover dance basics in the Ballet, Tap, and Jazz genres with 30 minutes spent on each genre each class. These classes are designed for dancers that have some knowledge of dance terminology and have some dance experience. Dancers signed up for this class will refine the skills that they obtained in their Combo class and continue to build their dance practice and vocabulary.

This class is designed to target the body’s powerhouse, the core! The class will utilize a variety of exercises that strengthen all muscle groups around the center of the body. By doing this, one improves balance and posture which can prevent injury and chronic pain.

Studio 149 firmly believes that the purpose of a body is to utilize it to worship God. This class will use improvisational and choreographic exercises in conjunction with biblical principles to refocus the practice of dance into one that fully glorifies God. Dancers of all ages are welcome to participate in their own capacity. We are excited to share with you our favorite way to worship.
